The Gothic Quarter or El Gòtic, is the centre of the old city of Barcelona. It is one of the oldest and most beautiful districts in Barcelona. It is a labyrinth of small streets full of little bars, restaurants and shops. Most of the quarter is closed to regular traffic although open to service vehicles and taxis.

The neighbourhood hosts several sites of interest, such as the cathedral of Barcelona, Plaça del Rei, museums, many squares, and all sorts of interesting places and landmarks hidden. The Gothic quarter retains a local feel, while also being one of the most touristic spots in Barcelona.

The place is a perfect location for anyone who likes to go out, attending events, such as exhibitions, concerts, art performances, etc. With lots of cafes, perfect for an afternoon coffee with friends, and clubs and bars for the evening. This means that the neighbourhood can be a bit noisy in the evening, so keep that in mind.
